Commit To What’s Important

Anything less than a conscious commitment to the important is an unconscious commitment to the unimportant -Steven Covey

Focus is a key factor in our lives…you can be in traffic and focus on how slow it is moving, you can look at your relationship and see how challenging it is…you can look at your yard and call it work….you can spend time complaining about your country, other countries, the hospitals, the patients, the other people…..there are many ways to focus on “WHAT MATTERS.”

Too many people waste time on STUFF that doesn’t matter to them or their goals.

Next time you begin to complain about your life and the things that are in it, stop and ask yourself, “What is important in my life.” Is it to focus on the good or the bad? is it to focus on what needs to be done or what I have already accomplished. Be clear and focus on the best case scenario for you and everyone involved.

Our Prosperity is equal to our ability to be who we are!

Hello friends,

I’ve just returned from a wonderful trip to San Francisco. What an incredible city, with so many fabulous people, places and curiousities to discover!  Something I love about this city of rolling hills and vivacious cultures is the knack of the individuals who live there to express themselves as the unique and beautiful beings they are.

It was also great to see the play, “The Tale of the City” and recognize the significance of Armistead Maupin’s work and how he taught people to accept individuals who are different from themselves. The most unique thing about us is our uniqueness, imagine everyone accepting this reality? Imagine everyone living a prosperous life due to their acceptance of their own worthiness and right to be.

Only listen to those people in your life who encourage you to be you, to take risks and understand you can be anything. Your dreams are waiting on you to come true.

I was reminded of a saying you may know – it’s a slight variation on a more popular prayer:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change,
The courage to change the one person I can,
And the wisdom to know that person is ME.

I love this, because it’s brings a little humor to the reality of GRACE. Be still and know I AM.
In the midst of the bustle of the day, a family gathering, a workplace challenge, we have the grace to know we can be still. And in being still, we open ourselves to a higher wisdom.

In How to Speak Unity, I wrote as part of the word BEING:

“In the space of stillness, we are able to relax and let go. There is tremendous power in letting go of what could be, for it is then we are able to accept what is. Somewhere between the thoughts of what could be and what is, there is usually a more perfect solution waiting to be birthed. Our greatest insights come from stillness.”

When we’re facing a challenge, question or conflict, our own GPS (God Personalized System) will guide us.  It’s wonderful to receive good advice from trusted friends, and it’s miraculous to know we have our own best friend within. When we listen, we know. When we know, we can be sure and trust ourselves to express ourselves as the unique and beautiful beings we are!

Wishing you a beautiful and expressive summer,

Temple

The ‘Ah!’ and the ‘Ohm!’

Hello friends!

I am so excited about our lives!

As I think of and thank for the incredible blessings all around me, I know that it’s through this excitement we’re telling God, ‘Yes!’ When we’re excited for the people, places and things filling and fulfilling our daily journeys, have you noticed how many more rush in?  Our good comes when and by the measure of our gratitude and enthusiasm in receiving it.

I know this is true as I experience it more each day.  How excited I am about my life is directly reflected in the level of excitement Life responds to me.

I recently had the honor of receiving a new tool from an incredible teacher and healer to start and end the day with this excitement and gratitude. It’s simple, yet profoundly sets the tone every morning and ties a nice bow of thanks to the wonder of life every evening.  I want to share it with you.

As we wake every morning, we focus our first thoughts on receiving good, allowing the magnificence and joy which is ours to receive to come.  We can do this with a single word, a physical expression of openness.  By opening our mouths wide and saying “Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!” several times, we tune our prosperity consciousness, much like a tuning fork helps tune a fine instrument. In the evening, while reviewing the good we did receive (whether big or small), we open our hearts and with thanks say “Ohmmmmmm.”  These two words are guides to receiving and recognizing Good. Try it for one week, and watch the adjustment your soul makes!

And in sharing some good — I’d love for you to join me this Wednesday, June 1st as I make my debut appearance on national tv! Lifetime TV invited me to appear on The Balancing Act, a show dedicated to empowering women. What an incredible experience this has been!

As we enter June and approach summer, I am wishing you bountiful blessings and the joy of receiving your Good!

I am so excited about your life!

Here we go – From Good to AMAZING!!

Hello Friends!

What a incredible life we’re living!

I am so honored to be in touch with all of the people in my life, ready and dedicated to move from Good, to AMAZING!  With that simple change in mindset, we allow God’s blessings to rush in.  I’m certain, when we open our hearts, eyes, minds and arms to the beauty and wonder Life has in store for us, it pours in through every opportunity!

In the past six months, my life has been filled with riches – new friendships, deeper relationships with current friends and family, and a wealth of opportunities to share the message which is mine to give; this IS the greatest moment you and I have ever lived. It’s hard  (but not impossible) to capture all the detailed miracles I’ve found and others have shared in this time – and I encourage you to read more about them in my newsletter, The Greatest Moment – you can sign up on my new website www.templehayes.org.

Life is meant to be lived fully and joyfully, richly and abundantly, playfully and enthusiastically — and I know you’ve each had those many moments as well. Perhaps a new love has entered your life, a new spouse or partner, a new child with eyes of wonder, love and acceptance, a new and fulfilling job – or just as significant, the knowing that your current position has fulfilled its time and newness is coming your way!  How we look at the transitions within our lifetimes, helps us in moving from good to an amazing space. AMAZING — saying it aloud reminds us to really SEE what’s around us, the many blessings so bountifully spread for us to pay attention to and treasure, to be AMAZED by!

In my new book, How to Speak Unity, I talk about blessings and how ‘each time we bless anything, we acknowledge God’s presence in everything.’  That’s so powerful to me, knowing that by honoring even the smallest things in my life, I am living large!

And so with a new website, a new book, a new radio show on Unity.FM, new tv media appearances just around the corner, I know it’s not the sum of these wonders that makes life so rich…it’s the small steps, the kind words, the moments friends offered help or suggestions, the gestures of love and gratitude that give such power to blessings in our lives!

It simply makes us want to sing the song aloud, ‘Thank God, for being God today!’

Loving Life,

Temple Hayes
